To get a token in Strapi CMS, you typically need to follow these steps:

  • Login to the Admin Panel: Access the Strapi admin panel using your credentials. The default URL for the admin panel is usually http://localhost:1337/admin.
  • Navigate to User Settings: Once logged in, navigate to the user settings or user management section.
  • Generate API Token: Look for an option to generate an API token. This token will be used for authentication when making requests to the Strapi API.
  • Generate Token: Click on the appropriate button or link to generate a token. Some CMS platforms might require additional steps, such as selecting permissions for the token.
  • Copy Token: Once generated, copy the token to your clipboard. Make sure to store it securely as it grants access to your Strapi resources.
  • Use Token: You can now use this token to authenticate requests to the Strapi API. Typically, you'll include it as a bearer token in the Authorization header of your HTTP requests.
